FAQ
Answers to the questions parents ask most about Baby Buffer, our products and our launch.
Launch & waitlist
When does Baby Buffer launch?
We're finishing production now. Join the waitlist on any product page and you'll be the first to know when it's available.
How does the waitlist work?
Tap Notify me on any product page and leave your email. When that product is available, we'll email you. That's it.
What products are you launching?
The Buffer Caddy, our stroller caddy with a shielded phone pocket, leads the line. Alongside it: the Buffer Fanny Pack, the Buffer Crossbody Phone Bag and the Shielding Blanket.
The Buffer Caddy
Will the Buffer Caddy fit my stroller?
It's designed for strollers with a single, continuous handlebar, which covers most full-size, modular and tandem double strollers. Strollers with two separate handles, like many umbrella strollers, usually aren't a good fit. A brand-by-brand compatibility list is coming before launch.
Can I fold my stroller with it attached?
It depends on your stroller. On many strollers the handlebar folds onto the frame, and anything attached can get in the way. The straps come off quickly, and you should always remove drinks before folding.
How much can I put in it?
Keep it light: phone, keys, wallet, a drink or two and a few small essentials. Heavy weight on any stroller handlebar can make it tip backward, especially when your child is out of the seat. Check your stroller's manual.
How is it different from other stroller caddies?
Most caddies give your phone a clear window or an open slot. The Buffer Caddy gives it a closable pocket lined with silver-fiber shielding, alongside the cup holders and storage you'd expect.
The shielding fabric
What is silver-fiber shielding fabric?
It's a textile with silver woven through it. Silver is highly conductive, which lets the fabric reflect and absorb radio-frequency (RF) energy, the kind phones, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth use.
Bags & blanket
What's the difference between the fanny pack and the crossbody?
The Buffer Fanny Pack wears at the waist or across the chest and holds a little more: phone, keys, cards and wipes. The Buffer Crossbody Phone Bag is slimmer and built around your phone, with a second compartment for small essentials.
Is the Shielding Blanket a baby blanket?
No. It's a throw designed for adult use, sized to drape over the bump or across your lap. It's not for use in cribs or for infant sleep.
How do I care for the blanket?
Wash cold and air dry. Gentle care helps silver-fiber fabric last.
